NEXUS FINANCIALS Production Control module is integrated with the General Ledger, Stock Control, Sales Orders and Purchase Order modules. Conceptually, Production Control sits immediately after sales order entry and before picking slip generation. However, items may also be manufactured for stock. Ideal for manufacturing or production environments with batch runs to produce goods for customer orders or stock, the Production Control module provides the following key features:
- Complete information for the control of the total production cycle.
- The number of levels that assemblies can be exploded to is unlimited.
- A complete history of the builds is maintained, including QA information. Components and assemblies can be tracked to their original source (including warehouse bin movements).
- Build dependencies (either pending purchase orders or other make lists) are automatically maintained, thus allowing stock allocation for completed items to be prioritized. Received purchase orders are automatically allocated to source/waiting factory orders.
- Shop Floor Control.
- The production scheduling report shows that processes can commence based on preceding processes completed or part completed.
- Process Control allows for Job Routing. Processes can optionally use machines and have defined pre and post requisites processes.

- Purchase orders can be selectively generated for outstanding stock, and optionally reserved for particular factory orders.
- Production Control collates identical stock across multiple orders to create a factory make list by product group and stock code.
- Make lists can be customized for different production runs, or even within a particular production run.
- The system allows for make list scheduling; make lists can be in one of the four states: not scheduled, scheduled, in production or completed.
- Production schedules can be entered and maintained by production date. Raw material and labour requirements for schedules are calculated from the bill of materials.
- Production planning enquiries and reports show finished goods, raw materials and labour requirements.
- Completing a finished goods make list will update the order status on the stock file, take the order line off back order and complete the order if applicable.
- Meets Good Manufacturing Practice Guidelines (GMP).
- Fully supports the Batch Tracking / Multi-Location feature if it is installed.
- Labour requirements can be tracked and budgeted for.
- Time Sheet entry can transfer actual labour cost to a process.
